A gift from nature, the dark Canadian maple syrup from Wellington Made in Elora, Ontario is tapped later in the season and offers the most intense maple flavour. Trees hand tapped then barrel aged for 4-8 months in freshly dumped whiskey barrels (*note, there is no added alcohol). The darker the maple syrup, the higher the antioxidant content.
This compliment of indulgence is perfect as a drizzle on crêpes, pancakes, yogurt or ice cream and better still, on baked Brie with walnuts. A perfect way to add a kick to your cooking, this Syrup is a fantastic (and healthy) sugar substitute. Try it in whipped cream or caramelized onions, as a glaze for salmon, or as an ingredient in your own signature cocktail! A must have, trust us.
