Alex Moore-Gibson is an abstract, impressionist artist, working primarily with acrylic paints and oil pastels. Her artwork is a result of an insatiable need to create and is informed by the beauty in the everyday. Emotions, physical surroundings, memories and the subconscious inform and guide her art practice. She creates out of her home studio, in Hamilton, ON. She lives with her husband, two sons, and neurotic dog in a lovely neighbourhood surrounded by trees and friendly neighbours.
